Flashes of Hope

Do you ever do something just because it is the right thing?  Well, here is one thing that is right.  Flashes of Hope http://www.flashesofhope.org/ is a non-profit organization dedicated to creating uplifting portraits of children fighting cancer and other life threatening illnesses. I was fortunate enough to be contacted by the Minneapolis chapter to create images of a few of these beautiful children, it was at once a difficult and uplifting experience and one I hope to repeat.  If you have some spare time……

We had the good fortune of having Miss Minnesota USA 2009 in the studio for a recent shoot.  I’m sure other photographers in town know Erica Nego as a talented local model but they might be unaware she will be representing Minnesota in the Miss USA competition to be televised April, 19th on NBC.

Every step of the way there were decisions to be made concerning speed, screen size, resolution, navigation, readability and general functionality and as it turns out they are all interconnected. I’m certain the people at Knock are grateful to see their ideas hit the screen and look as good as they did on paper. I am in awe for the same reason and, he was able to work in a method that allows me to add, subtract and reorder the images without requiring a degree in software development. Website maintenance for dummies!
